Performed one system HVAC no cool service call. Upon arrival found 26 year-old AC and coil, with two year-old gas furnace. Upon inspection of the system, not working, found that it had a bad condenser fan motor and bad contactor and capacitor. Inspection of the inside system found that there was lots of rust in a new two year-old furnace due to the coil and the installation of the AC. The drain pan has lots of rust inside the pan where system has flooded before. The blower will had minimal buildup. The indoor filter was completely clogged, causing system to pull high amps on the blower motor. Due to the condition and age of this equipment in the findings I found today it may be time to update your HVAC system. Customer wants to get a quote of what it will cost to replace to compare whether she wants to repair.
